National Spirit Group
Founded in 1948, the National Spirit Group manufactures uniforms for youth, high school, college, and professional cheerleaders and dancers, runs over 1,000 summer camps nationwide for 150,000 participants, and governs national and regional competitions some of which are televised on CBS Sports.

NSG was sold three times in ten years leading up to 1995 when Rob Holmes, founder of Black Knight Partners, joined NSG as part of the executive management team. Over the next three years, Holmes was instrumental in developing a professional management team with dramatically improved sales and earnings and ultimately selling the company.

Results: Sold the business for $60 million, 12x the owner’s original investment.
